INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY

Initially, there is no doubt. Global Communicators and Warning Network Inc has proven itself as a volunteer organization. It possesses the ability of providing its services to the community for over three years. The organization has managed to grow and develop. Still, a closer look at details defining an organization’s capacity to respond can make you skeptical. You ask, “how did Global Communicators and Warning Network Inc survive those three years of operation?”

CAPACITY/ SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE OF MEMBERS

The organization has 1100 regular members. More than 50% are in the below 40 age group. Additionally, more than 90% are male. These facts would signify physically able bodies no doubt. They can mobilize and respond during emergencies to carry out tasks assigned to them.

The diversity of its members in different aspects of comparison pose as a liability to certain groups. But, this is not the case for Global Communicators and Warning Network. It is treated as an outstanding, remarkable characteristic of Global Communicators and Warning Network members, being different or having differences. Each regular member goes through a probationary period of service regardless of your age or if you’re rich or poor. It is months or sometimes even a couple of years. During this period, a probationary member can join. They get trained and act like a part of the team. Still, they do most of the dirty bits of the service. Maybe during this time, each one is honed in discipline, humility, and respect. They also develop integrity and other values in life. These qualities make them an independent but almost perfect fit in the puzzle.

TIMELY DELIVERY OF SERVICES

The active member-responders of Global Communicators and Warning Network are located in the town/city proper. Some are even neighbors. So, during emergencies, more often than not, they can provide a timely response. Coincidentally, most of them are only a few minutes away from accident-prone areas in the national road.

Capitol University Medical Center (CUMC) donated a multi-cab for the use of the group in 2018.
